Hows the Economy down there in Brasil?

I hope it's doing okay. I know I've read some articles in Portuguese about how the stocks are crashing, but how is the optimism? Do you see Brasil falling into an economic problem?

Because here in the USA things are looking pretty damn bleak. The stocks have dropped more than 500 points for two days in a row (that's about 10 percent in two days!!!!) At this point I'm pretty sure that were going to fall into (at least) another recession if not a full blown depression. I sure hope not, but I am honestly not optimistic, like 90 percent of people in the country.

How do you think Brasil will hold out? Like I said, hopefully all of this economic growth won't be erased! What do you think????

But seriously, there is some seriously interesting stuff going on in Brasil business-wise nowadays. Rio seems to be a new hot-bed for it too, looks like Sampa will have a close competitor in the near future.

As many of you know, the prefeitura in Rio is investing billions into infraestratura projects, and this one, shown in the youtube video below, is a brand new one that is poised to link Barra da Tijuca better with the rest of the city. We all knew that Brasileiros love Jizzney (Disney), but this monorail  is taking the obsession to a new level.
