I honestly wish I was straight!

In my wicked mind, straight guys live in simple apartments with white walls, black furniture and a huge sofa facing a home cinema system super huge and basta!

On the other hand, you have gay guys that live in simple apartments white white walls but with vintage Swedish 50's furnitures, black and white pictures framed... They light scented candles (Diptyque or Trudon). They have spent hours choosing the right ones!

On Sunday, they jump on their Vespa covered with cool stickers and go plant shopping at their local green store. Please note that they have been in the above mentioned store at least 3 times to check all the plants and think about the perfect one. But bim bam badaboum... It's Christmas time... No more 50's retro plants. Only Christmas trees and ornaments involving a lot of gold and red ugly items...

I really wish that all this had never happened to me. But it did. When choosing a bulb for the entrance of my new house. It took me nothing less than 10 days to get the right one. And just a tinny bit more to get the perfect electric rope. When choosing a plant that in the end is out of stock.

OMG... What on hearth have our mothers done to us? Why can't we just enter a supply store or a home depot wearing track pants + a simple tee shirt and buy a lamp in 7 seconds?

Why every time  we come back home we realize that the bulb is too small or to bright? Why do we matter so much about the place we live?

Or maybe I am totally wrong. Maybe straight guys wear skinny jeans and Margiela tees when shopping for a lamp. Maybe they need months to get the right coffee table... Maybe they hate black furnitures as much as we do... But then... Should gay guys date straight guys???
